One of the things I love most about painting is the interplay of seemingly opposing qualities.

Bold, sweeping gestures alongside delicate lines. Expressive textures against translucent layers. Spontaneity and precision, chaos and order, all finding their place within the same composition.

There’s something fascinating about moving between these two very different ways of working, one impulsive, the other deliberate. And somehow, harmony can emerge from unpredictability.
