When I begin a painting, I’m usually responding more to a feeling or atmosphere than to a defined object. I’m drawn to sensations of growth, elusiveness, ambiguity, transience, freedom, and continuity, things that are difficult to fully name or hold onto.

Over time, these impressions often take shape as forms resembling petals, wings, or ribbons of light. I’m interested in what emerges when intuition is allowed to lead without the pressure of immediate meaning or explanation.
